Description
Ley Hill Farmhouse and attached barn date from the late 18th century and early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with plain tile hipped roofs and feature four brick ridge stacks, two on the front range and two on the rear. The building is two storeys and has an L-plan layout.
The west elevation showcases a large early 19th-century semi-circular bow with glazing bar sashes and a half domed lead roof. To the left of this bow is a doorway flanked by 2-light windows, all featuring segment heads. Above, there are two segment-headed windows on either side of the dome, along with a small square window.
The south elevation includes a full-height canted bay window with a central Venetian type window on each floor, topped by a hipped roof dormer. The long rear wing is connected to the barn, which has irregular openings on the south side.
