Description

The cow house at Shirley Hall is a mid-19th century structure. It is built of red brick and features a tall plain tile roof. The building is single storey and has an unequal T-plan shape with a long top stroke. The west elevation displays an irregular arrangement of pairs and triplets of small Gothic windows, resembling the heads of lancets, all with painted chamfered surrounds. There are also segmental-arched doorways, which have painted chamfered surrounds and patterned brick arches, along with stable-type doors. This building is listed for its group value only.
