Description

The stable block at Shirley Hall is a mid-19th century structure featuring a loft. It is built from red brick and topped with a plain tile roof, forming an L-plan layout. The west elevation showcases small chamfered Gothic windows and segmental-arched doorways with patterned brick arches, arranged in a specific rhythm: A, B, A, A, B, A, B, A, B, A. Notably, the last window has been partially bricked up. The doorways are framed with chamfered surrounds and have stable-type doors. Above, there is one gabled dormer that includes a segmental-arched granary opening. The return range also features similar doorways.
