Description
No. 57 Low Pavement is a late 19th-century facade attached to an earlier building. It features red brick with stone dressings and has a stepped and corbelled brick eaves cornice, topped with a stone cornice and a brick blocking course. The building stands three storeys high and has five windows on the second floor and four windows on the first floor, all of which are unbarred sashes. These windows are separated by brick pilasters that have stone sill bands and lintels, with stone impost bands shaped like capitals between the first-floor windows. There is a large modern fascia board above the 19th-century shop front, which still retains its cornice and pilasters. A small arch on the west side provides access to the rear of the building.
