Description

The stables at Tapton Grove, located to the east of the house, date back to 1799, as indicated by the inscription 'A.T. 1799'. The building is constructed of coursed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has a block design with hipped outer wings and a recessed center that has modern tiles. The stables are two storeys high. The west wing includes one pitching eye, a small window, and a door. The center section has two windows with modern glazing, four doors, and an additional window. The eastern wing has two windows on each floor. The original window openings have stone architraves, but most of the casements are modern replacements in the old window spaces.
