Description

This is a milepost dating from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular sectioned base with a sloping head, featuring a bead fillet along the edge and raised lettering. The west side is inscribed with "MANSFIELD 7 MILES," the east side reads "ALFRETON 2 MILES," and the top is inscribed "SOUTH NORMANTON."
