Description

Conduit House is a 17th-century building located on the south side of New Station Road in the town of Old Bolsover. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings and features remains of coped gables. The building has a small rectangular gabled shape with massive quoins. There is a square-headed doorway that is also framed with quoins and a lintel, along with a small square opening above it. Additionally, there is a rectangular opening at the rear. This conduit house is one of four structures along the escarpment that supplied water to Bolsover Castle.
