Description
The building is a hovel located to the south of the stables at Wingfield Hall, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared coal measures sandstone, featuring quoins and coped gables. The hovel has an end ridge stone stack at the east end and a plain tiled roof with stone slated eaves. The south elevation consists of four bays, with an arcade of square stone pillars resting on padstones, and flattened square capitals supporting a plate. The west gable includes a semi-circular headed blind opening at the apex. This hovel is listed for its group value with the nearby structures.
