Description

Crossroads Farm features two ranges of farm buildings facing onto Ashbourne Road. The North-Eastern Range dates from the early 19th century and is two storeys high. It has an ashlar facade on a brick building with a slate roof that includes vents. Inside, there is cast iron construction with a vaulted ceiling, and an external staircase is located at the eastern end. The entrance to the north-eastern farmyard is marked by two stone gate piers with pyramidal caps.

The South-Western Range consists of stone buildings that are one, two, and three storeys tall, arranged along the road facade with an archway providing access to the western side. The easternmost building is single storey, has a slate roof, and features six shuttered openings with stone frames. The rear is brick, housing cowsheds with a loft above. The central building is three storeys high with a corrugated iron roof, featuring two iron-framed openings on the ground floor and two loft doors above. The rear elevation is brick, and there is a large stone trough on the west side. An adjoining two-storey building has a slate roof and includes a tall archway at the eastern end, modified in brick. This range also has side stone gate piers and baulks, with one shuttered opening and three vents, and a blocked end door.
