ASHBOURNE ROAD (South side), Southern range of farm buildings in south-western farmyard at Crossroads Farm

End adjoins eastern wing of farmhouse. Rear has stairs to 1st floor and mounting block beside these. Stables with iron framed windows above. Early C19. The north side of this yard is formed by the farm buildings facing onto the road. The western side is closed by the farmhouse. Stone flagged yard. Southern Ranges. Two cartsheds. Stone with gabled slate roofs. Tall buildings with open fronts. Adjoining is stone and brick 2 storey building, ground floor has stable doors, 1st floor has vents, 2 windows and 2 loft doors. (Modern brick addition in front of part of range is not of special interest). At rear adjoining 2 storey stone building with access down to basement in northern corner. Carriage arch through building has roof hopper which fed directly into carts. First floor has 2 loft doors and 3 windows with glazing bars. Single storey stone range to south.
