Description

The southern range of farm buildings at Crossroads Farm dates from the early 19th century and is located in the southwestern farmyard. This range adjoins the eastern wing of the farmhouse, with a rear section featuring stairs leading to the first floor and a mounting block nearby. The stables above have iron-framed windows. The north side of the yard is lined with farm buildings that face the road, while the western side is bordered by the farmhouse, creating a stone-flagged yard.

The southern range includes two cartsheds made of stone with gabled slate roofs, characterized by their tall structures and open fronts. Next to these is a two-storey building constructed of stone and brick, where the ground floor features stable doors, and the first floor has vents, two windows, and two loft doors. A modern brick addition in front of part of this range is not considered of special interest. At the rear, there is an adjoining two-storey stone building with access to a basement in the northern corner. A carriage arch runs through this building, equipped with a roof hopper that fed directly into carts. The first floor contains two loft doors and three windows with glazing bars, while there is also a single-storey stone range to the south.
