Description

This canal bridge, built in 1792 by William Jessop and Benjamin Outram, is located adjacent to number 26 on Bullbridge Hill in Ripley. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a single fluted semi-circular arch with a plain band above. The parapets have rounded copings, and the walls curve outward on either side, finishing in square piers. This bridge was built as part of the Cromford Canal.
