Description
21, 22, and 23 Derby Road are early 20th-century houses that exemplify Strutt housing from this period. The buildings are constructed from coursed stone rubble, arranged in wide bands with horizontal bed joints at the quoins and at the first-floor sills. They feature a slate roof with swept eaves and brick chimneys located on the ridge. The houses are two and a half storeys tall and have three dormers. There are nine windows in total, which are sashes with glazing bars; the dormers and three of the ground floor windows consist of three lights each. The doors are topped with flat hoods supported by console pilasters.
