Description
A pair of gate piers and gates to Alderwasley Hall, located to the north of the Old Vicarage, were built in the late 18th century. The gate piers are made of ashlar gritstone and are square in shape. Each pier features V-shaped rustication above a plain base, a fluted frieze with a central patera on each face, and a moulded projecting cap without a finial. The ornamental cast iron gates have urn finials on the hinge bar and intermediate crossrail, with spear heads on the remaining railings.
