Description
This is a milepost located 200 metres southeast of the crossroads of Wirksworth and Ashbourne Road in the parish of Shottle and Postern. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape and features a back plate with a segmental top. It is inscribed with the following information: "SHOTTLE/LONDON/134/MILES/WIRKSWH/5/MILES/DERBY/9/MILES."
