Description

Bower House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is built from regularly coursed squared gritstone and features quoins at the south end. The house has coped gables with moulded kneelers and rendered gable ridge stacks, all topped by a concrete tiled roof. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, with stacked three-light flush mullioned windows that have 19th-century casements. The doorway is off-centre and has massive jambs and a lintel, along with a shallow hood supported by substantial brackets. The door itself is a six-panelled design, with the upper two panels being glazed.
