Description
Dial Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed from coursed squared gritstone, featuring quoins and coped gables with moulded kneelers. It has end ridge brick stacks and a concrete tiled roof. The building has an irregular 'T' plan, with a lower projecting wing on the north elevation. It stands two storeys high with attics and has three bays, presenting an asymmetrical elevation. The former 2-light flush mullioned windows have been replaced with single glazing bar sashes in the two end bays, while the central bay contains a 2-light stair window on both the first and attic floors. The off-centre doorway is framed by a massive quoined surround and topped with a shallow moulded bracketed hood. To the east of the doorway, there is a blocked single light opening with a flush surround. At attic level in the central bay, there is a square sundial plate.
