Description
No. 4 Barleythorpe Road is an early 19th-century building constructed of coursed stone with ashlar quoins. It features a moulded wood eaves cornice and a slate roof, along with two stone-capped brick stacks. The building is two storeys high, with rubble on the sides and a front elevation made of brick.
The front has three windows set in moulded flush frames, each with a keystone, straight stone arches, and cills. On the ground floor, there are two late 19th-century bay windows. The entrance consists of a four-panel door within a wood doorcase that has panelled reveals and a rectangular fanlight above. A small hood supported by brackets is positioned over the door.
