Description

The dovecote at Home Farm dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features a stone tiled roof. The building is tall and single-celled, with a ridge roof, coped gables, and a lantern-like entry for doves located on the ridge. Inside, the walls are filled with nesting holes and ledges. There is also a brick-built addition to the west, which is two storeys high and has an external stair.
