Description

No. 10 Main Street is a cottage, probably built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick stacks, along with some visible timbering, including the ends of internal cross beams. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has a single dormer along with new attic windows in the gable end. It has a 3-unit plan, with two casement windows that have flat lintels, and a new window has been added in an old doorway that features large quoining and was originally a baffle entry. There are stacks on either side of this door, located in the right-hand gable.
