Description
Cottesmore Grange is a house built in 1811 with alterations in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with stone dressings, a plinth, quoins, and bands, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring a moulded stone central ridge and end stacks. The main or garden front faces gable left and consists of three storeys.
The central feature is a two-light stone mullion and transom window with a 2/2 sash above and a 3/3 sash above that. Flanking this are two mid-19th century two-storey stone canted bays, each with five lights and a 3/3 sash window above. The stone sills are prominent, and on the second-floor band, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'Anno MDCCCXI'.
To the right of the gable, there is a door leading to a twin-span rear wing. The rear wing has two storeys with three 1/1 sash windows above similar 6/6 sash windows, and it features a panelled oak door with an overlight.
