Description
Lodge Farmhouse and Barn is a house from the late 18th century and a barn built in 1765, located on the east side of Great North Road in Greetham. The farmhouse is constructed from coursed rubble stone, which is whitewashed, and features a Welsh slate roof with a brick chimney. The building is in an L shape, with a wing that projects forward on the left side, and the barn extends forward from this wing.
The farmhouse has two storeys and includes a part-glazed door at the angle, a two-light casement window on both floors to the right, and a one-light window with a two-light window above on the inner return of the wing. On the opposite side of the wing, there are two three-over-three sash windows with two two-light casements above. The barn has central doors on both sides, and above the door facing the farmyard, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'O.B. 1765'. Inside the barn, there are various slit windows and a three-bay tie beam roof with collars. The property was formerly known as Glebe Farm.
