Description
Walnut Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone tiled roof. The building has one and a half storeys and a three-unit plan, with a single unit that projects slightly below the door, which has a six-panelled design and a chamfered timber lintel. To the left of the door is a canted wood mullioned bay window, along with a three-light casement window that also has a chamfered timber lintel. Above, there is a half-dormer with a catslide roof and an additional single light window. On the extreme right elevation, there is a blocked doorway at the upper level leading into the loft. The farmhouse has coped gables, brick gable end stacks, and one axial stone stack.
