Description
This is a house and part of a school, largely dating from the early 19th century, but incorporating an earlier core. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone-tiled roof. The front of the house features a four-centred arched doorway, likely of 19th-century Gothic design. To its left is a three-light casement window with quoins and a key stone. A straight joint in the wall indicates two distinct phases of construction. To the right of this joint is a newer doorway, and further along, two-light casement windows are present on each floor. These windows also have quoins, keystones, and Gothic tracery in the lower portion. The gables are coped. Adjoining the house to the left are three bays which form part of the school building. This section is single-storied and has chamfered timber lintels over twelve-light sash windows. Gable end stacks are present, and a bell sits on the wall of the middle gable.
