Description
The Old Rectory is a house built around 1830 in the Tudor Gothic style. It features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and stands two storeys tall with three bays, topped by a high parapet that forms shallow outer gables. The central door is adorned with an overlight and a hoodmould with drop ends. Above the door, there is a three-light mullioned and transomed window. Each gable has a three-light mullioned and transomed window on both floors, along with a quatrefoil at the apex. All windows are fitted with hoodmoulds that have dropped ends. A string course runs along the line of the gables and parapet, while the gables are accentuated by thin plaster buttresses on either side. On the south side, there is a rear wing that has two storeys and an attic, consisting of two bays with an outer door and a window beside it, both featuring incised keystones. The upper windows are two-light casements with Gothic ogees in the upper lights and incised voussoirs. Above, there are half-timbered gabled dormers.
