Description

The war memorial at Empingham Cemetery was built around 1920 and is made of stone. It features a squared moulded base on a three-stepped hexagonal plinth. The shaft is tapering and fluted, adorned with a fleuron frieze and topped with a battlemented capping. At the very top, there is a Latin cross. This memorial commemorates those who fell in the First World War, and it also includes a plaque for those who died in the Second World War. The total height of the memorial is approximately 4 meters.
