Description

Cornerways and Corner Stone is a cottage dated around 1567. It is built from coursed rubble stone and has a thatched roof with stone and brick stacks at each end. The gables are topped with stone coping. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and features two sets of three-light casement windows, with two similar eyebrow dormers above them. A central door is accessed by four stone steps and has wooden lintels. On the left corner of the building, there is a triangular stone, which may mark a boundary. Additionally, there is a stone tablet on the left gable inscribed with B.I.S. 1567.
