Description

The Old School House is a house, possibly formerly two dwellings, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of well-coursed rubble with a Welsh slate roof and stands two storeys high. The left side of the building features a two-unit plan with a central doorway flanked by a three-light casement window on each side, and a two-light window above. All openings have cambered stone heads, with incised keystones on the ground floor and ornate detailing above the door. An ashlar eaves cornice adds to the architectural detail. To the right, there is an additional bay with a two-light casement window, which has chamfered timber lintels on each floor, and an inserted garage beyond.
