Description
Wentworth Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on the north-west side of Main Street, Caldecott. The house is constructed of dressed ironstone with brown Uppingham stone quoins and a chamfered plinth, and features pale limestone window surrounds and a first-floor lintel band. The roof is Welsh slate, with coped gables, and brick chimneys are located to the left and between the right bays. The house is two storeys high and comprises three bays. It has 20th-century three-light wooden casement windows set in original surrounds, with bonded jambs, shaped lintels, and keyblocks; the lower windows have triple keyblocks. A door is situated between the left bays, also in a matching surround. Above the door is a blank, lozenge-shaped plaque. A small, single-storey extension matching the style of the main building extends to the right.
