Description
Earl is a 17th-century house, which may have originally been two cottages. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with brick stacks at the ridge and west end. The house has coped gables and is designed in an L-plan, with the gable end facing the street. It has one and a half storeys.
On the west side, there is a 19th-century door and a three-light casement window, both set beneath timber lintels, along with a gabled dormer above that contains a two-light casement window. The north side features a two-light casement window, a blocked doorway with a small window opening, and a four-light window divided by wooden ovolo-moulded mullions, with a gabled dormer above. The west gable end includes a kneeler that is decorated with rope mouldings and four stone ledges.
