Description

Milestone from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised lettering painted black. The milestone has a triangular shape, with the sides inscribed "Kettering 14 miles" and "Uppingham," and is chamfered to provide a surface for the upper inscription, which reads "To London 89 miles."
