Description

The churchyard wall, located on the east side of London Road in Uppingham, dates from the 18th century and later, but includes fragments from the medieval period. It is constructed from squared stone and features coping at the top. The wall has two blocked cambered-headed openings, which were originally recesses that allowed pedestrians to shelter from traffic. Additionally, part of the wall that frames the steps leading up into the churchyard incorporates four fragments from medieval coffin lids.
