Description
The outbuildings adjacent to the east of Home Farmhouse consist of a range that includes part of a former barn and part that was likely once a stable. The barn dates from the 19th century, while the stable is from the early 18th century. The buildings are constructed from dressed ironstone rubble and feature corrugated iron roofs, with a coped gable at the south end. The barn, located on the left, has four bays, with 20th-century double doors in the third bay, a single 20th-century door in the second bay, and a small gabled projection with a door to the left. The stable has two bays, with high windows flanking a central stable door, a vent slit to the right, and a more steeply pitched roof. The gable end of the stable includes a vent slit and an owl hole. All roof timbers have been renewed. These outbuildings are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
