Description
Vine Cottage is a late 17th and 18th century house, now divided into two dwellings. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins, and has a Collyweston slate roof with moulded stone end stacks and stone-coped gables. The front elevation has two and a half storeys, featuring three two-light casement windows, which are renewed and of 20th-century design. They are set beneath wooden lintels. A central 20th-century stone and wood porch provides access to the main door. Three hipped dormers are visible, each containing a leaded two-light casement window with a toplight. A left-hand extension is present. A one-and-a-half storey brick wing, which forms part of number 53, extends to the rear.
