House of late C16/C17. Fine coursed squared stone with stone dressings, stone coped gables and steep Collyweston slate roof with 2 moulded stone ridge stacks. High plinth. H plan with 2 wide gabled ends. Entrance to rear. 2½ storeys of stone mullion windows with hood moulds. Front of 3 4-lights both floors with a 3-light in each gable. On left end 2 2-lights both floors and on right end a 2-light both floors, one a mullion window. On rear the door in right inner return. Flattened Tudor arch lintel. Various 1, 2 and 3-light mullions, glazed door, once a window, and blocked door in recessed centre. Between the wings cast iron railings and gate with fleur-de-lys finials. Inglenook, stopped beams and 2, possibly original, staircases inside. Carved panel in renewed shutter dated 1639. A possible date for this fine, well preserved house. A 1 storey outbuilding range with pantile roof extends from right end.
