Description

Manor Farmhouse and outbuilding range is a house dating from the late 16th to 17th century. It is constructed of fine coursed squared stone with stone dressings, featuring stone coped gables and a steep Collyweston slate roof that has two moulded stone ridge stacks. The building has a high plinth and an H plan with two wide gabled ends, with the entrance located at the rear.

The house is 2½ storeys tall and includes stone mullion windows with hood moulds. The front facade has three 4-light windows on both floors and a 3-light window in each gable. On the left end, there are two 2-light windows on both floors, while on the right end, there is a 2-light window on both floors, one of which is a mullion window. At the rear, the door is located in the right inner return and features a flattened Tudor arch lintel. The rear also includes various 1, 2, and 3-light mullion windows, a glazed door that was once a window, and a blocked door in the recessed centre.

Between the wings, there are cast iron railings and a gate with fleur-de-lys finials. Inside, the house features an inglenook, stopped beams, and two staircases that may be original. A carved panel in a renewed shutter is dated 1639, which could indicate a significant date for this well-preserved house. Additionally, there is a one-storey outbuilding range with a pantile roof extending from the right end.
