Description
The boundary wall, passage, and ha-ha located south and east of Wollaton Hall date from the early 19th century. The structure is made of brick, partly rendered, and features a flat ashlar coping. The boundary wall is approximately 2 meters high and extends south from the corner of Wollaton Hall for about 100 meters, following a series of curves. At the southern end, there is a segment-arched board door beneath a flat gable. This door leads into a segment-arched passage lined with brick, which is approximately 3 meters long and includes three round-arched recesses. The passage continues eastward for about 25 meters, is unroofed, and is flanked by brick retaining walls, eventually emerging near the Camellia house. The ha-ha runs from the southern end of the boundary wall, forming an oval shape that encloses the gardens of Wollaton Hall, and measures approximately 600 meters in length.
