Description
This is a terrace of fourteen town houses, now offices, built around 1840 and restored in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of red brick with painted stucco dressings and have slate roofs topped with twelve ridge stacks. They feature a plinth, sill bands to the upper floors, and a rendered, coped parapet. The terrace has three storeys and a twenty-eight window range, arranged in sections of four, eight, four, eight, and four bays. Most of the windows are original margin light sashes with wedge lintels. The central and end pavilions project forward and have stucco doorcases with flat hoods supported by brackets, flanked by canted bay windows with dentillated eaves. The wings, each eight bays wide, feature similar doorcases alternating with sashes. The original four-panel doors have been retained throughout the terrace. The upper floors display regular fenestration, with smaller windows on the second floor. Number 110, located at the south end of the terrace, is an addition, set at a right angle to the main block. This section has three storeys plus garrets, a pedimented gable with a canted bay window on two floors, and a stucco doorcase with a hood on brackets. A projecting wing extends to the right of number 110. The left return, facing Mansfield Road, has a single window on each floor.
