Description

22 and 24 St James' Street are two houses dating from around 1820, which have been altered around 1970. The buildings are constructed of brick with painted ashlar dressings and feature a concrete tile roof. They rise to three storeys and have a four-window range, characterized by wedge lintels and double keystones. On the first floor, there are partly reglazed glazing bar sash windows set on a sill band. Above these, there are tilting casements. The late 20th-century alterations include wooden and brick shopfronts beneath a full-width fascia. These properties are included for their group value.
