Description
The Parish Hall at the Church of St Mary is a building constructed between 1937 and 1939, designed by Cecil Howitt of Nottingham. It is made of buff brick, featuring brick dressings and a plain tile roof with a ridge stack. The hall has a plinth and gutters supported by scroll brackets. The windows are leaded casements with moulded brick surrounds, including mullions and transoms. The building is a single storey with a four-window range. The centre is recessed and has two three-light windows, with gabled wings on either side. In the return angles, there is a recessed double door flanked by a small two-light window. The facing gables include a cross casement with shutters, while the main gables feature large cross mullioned windows.
