Description
Nos 8 and 9 Castle View are a pair of mid-18th century red brick cottages that stand adjacent to each other. They are two storeys high and feature two windows, each with two-light casements that include glazing bars. The cottages have plain doors and a brick band, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends. These buildings are part of a group that includes all the listed structures on Castle Street, Castle View, and Castle Yard, along with Skeffington House, the Iron Gates, Chantry House, and Newarke Wall, all located in The Newarke.
