The building features a slate roof with blue brick coping at the gable ends and has one storey plus an attic. It includes 20th-century wooden mullion windows with leaded panes. A clock face inscribed "Deacon 1771" is located in the gable. This building is part of a group of listed structures that includes Castle Street, Castle View, Castle Yard, Skeffington House, the Iron Gates, Chantry House, and Newarke Wall, all situated in The Newarke.
