Description

No. 8 Guildhall Lane is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick with a slate roof featuring gabled ends. It has a moulded brick eaves cornice and brick string courses at the first and second floor levels. The building stands three storeys tall and has three windows on the upper floors, which have segmental brick arches and sashes with fairly thick glazing bars in exposed casings. On the ground floor, there is a two-light sash window with shutters on the left side. The central entrance features a moulded doorcase with a large plain rectangular fanlight above a fielded panel door. To the right, there is a segmental arch carriageway. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 12 (even), St Martin's Cathedral, the Guildhall, and No. 20 Loseby Lane.
