Description

Sheffield Place is a two-storey, red-brick U-shaped terrace built in 1842 as accommodation for railway workers, designed by architect Francis Thompson. The centre of the terrace projects forward to create a polygonal feature, which includes one central window on the ground floor and one window on each angled flank at the first floor. Each side of the terrace has one window. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. The building has a slate roof and brick chimneys with cornices.
