Description
The Bell and Castle Inn is a late 18th century and early 19th century terraced building located on Burton Road. It is constructed of red brick and painted brick, standing three storeys tall. The building features nine sash windows, with only those at Nos 96 and 98 (the Bell and Castle Inn) retaining their original broad frames and glazing fanlights. There are six plain doorways, and the doorways at Nos 104 and 110, which are part of the early 19th century section, have plain rectangular fanlights. The structure has modillion eaves and a slate roof. Nos 96 and 98 (Bell and Castle Inn), Nos 100 to 104 (even), and No 110 are part of a cohesive group.
