Description

No 1 Queen Street is a building dating from around 1810, which forms one structure with Nos 1 and 3 College Place. It is built of stucco and has three storeys, featuring two sash windows set in moulded surrounds. The building has a stuccoed eaves cornice and a half hipped slate roof. There is a modern shop front that is designed to be sympathetic to the building's character. No 1 is part of a group that includes Nos 9 to 11 (consecutive), Nos 15 to 17 (consecutive), the Cathedral Church of All Saints on Iron Gate, and No 2 Amen Alley, as well as two posts at the west end of College Place.
