Description
No 70 on George Lane is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a central-entry plan with two cells. On the first floor, there are three windows. The corners of the house are marked by quoins. The doorway and ground-floor windows have deep lintels, while the windows themselves are square with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills. Ashlar gable stacks are present on the roof. At the rear, there is a single-bay wing that is positioned at right angles to the main structure, which contains a rear door in its side wall and a gable stack.
