Description
Notton Bridge is a railway bridge built around 1840 by George Stephenson. It is constructed from rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and features three segmental arches supported by projecting piers. The bridge has a roll-moulded band and a coped parapet. This bridge is an early example on the North Midland railway, which runs from Derby via Rotherham to Normanton (Leeds).
