Description

These are two gate piers located approximately 50 metres north-west of Fryston Hall Farmhouse. They date from the early to mid 18th century and are made of magnesian limestone ashlar. Each pier is about 1 metre square in section and stands approximately 3½ metres high. The piers feature rusticated masonry up to a chamfered band, above which is a deep frieze with a roundel on each side. They also have a moulded cornice and a moulded pedestal that supports a ball finial.
