Description
The walled garden walls and gate piers at Woolley Hall were built between 1795 and 1805. They are constructed of dark red brick in a random bond pattern, featuring ashlar coping and gate piers. The garden is a large rectangular enclosure with high walls. The central entrance on the south side has rusticated piers topped with a cyma-moulded cornice, a blocking course, and a finial. There are wall ramps on either side of the entrance. The east and west walls extend further south and are similarly ramped at their ends. Doorways with ashlar composite jambs and monolithic lintels are present in the north, east, and west walls. This walled garden serves as the garden for Woolley Hall.
