Description
The water-cistern cover near the entrance of Waswell House is an early 19th-century structure made of ashlar stone. It has a hexagonal shape with Gothic-style, two-centred arched recessed panels on each side, one of which is open and features a wooden door. The cover is topped with a cornice and a stone pyramidal cap that is surmounted by a ball finial. This cistern was used by the gardeners of Woolley Hall, and there is a nearby walled garden.
