Description
Nos 6 and 8 Silver Street is an early 17th century timber-framed building that stands three stories tall and features four bays. The building has a raised two-bay center with an oversailing gable and a high-pitched swept roof covered in clay tiles. The front of the building is now rendered. It includes 18th century and early 19th century windows, with some being Yorkshire sliding sashes and others double hung sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are early 19th century shops that have part-reeded pilasters and an entablature with a swell frieze. To the right, there is a yard entrance with a wrought iron gate and a shaped gable above it.
